Overall strategyEdit

Skirmishers are crack troops, armed with rifles instead of muskets. While they are easily defeated by melee units, the range of their weapons and the speed at which they march means that Skirmishers are highly effective at ambushing formations of infantry. While they can be used against enemy cavalry, the best use for Skirmishers nevertheless is to use them against enemy heavy infantry, such as Halberdiers and Grenadiers.
