Overall strategy[]
Shaolin Monks were units in Rise of Napoleon 1.0 , which were proficient in melee combat, and were capable of despatching enemy ranged infantry with ease. They cost a considerable amount of Knowledge to be raised, but aside from their combat abilities, they could be used to detect hidden units, such as the Blackstump Brigade. However, they were easy prey if pitted against fortifications, or were attacked using cavalry.
Shaolin Monks were removed with the Ultima Ratio update, and replaced with Tiger Men.
